Is a Rogue RA-100D Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar bad for a beginner?

I'm thinking about trying guitar and I saw this one but wasn't sure if it was right for a beginner since I don't know anything about guitars.

If you want to play for an extended period of time, I would look into getting a better guitar for starting off. If you buy a cheap guitar and it feels wrong, then you might never be motivated again to play guitar. For beginners, I usually recommend the Yamaha FG700s. It's a solid spruce top while the RA-100D is a laminate top. This means that over time, the FG700 will start to sound better while the RA-100D will sound the same since the top is not of as good a quality. Also, I've played on a RA-100D before and the action is horrible. This meanings you will have a harder time pressing down on strings, which leads to more pain for your fingers and less motivation to play. If the FG700s is out of your price range, I definitely recommend at least trying out the guitars at your local shop. NEVER buy online as every guitar is different and you cannot determine if it's fit for you. Always try out a guitar and have a friend with you to help if possible.

If you want a good low-priced guitar that plays well, get a Hohner acoustic at musiciansfriend.com ! They are really low priced, plays very well, and is smaller than the large acoustic !

The other one I recommmend is any of the Ibanez acoustics, they are low priced and play well also ! I recommend a smaller sized acoustic, unless you are a large person and feel better with a large acoustic !

I think you need to spend more than $80.  In addition, you really should try a dreadnought before you buy it to make sure that you will find it comfortable.  Many people, especially people of smaller stature, find the dreadnought shape uncomfortably large.  I know I do.
