Is a Tomato a fruit or a vegetable?!?!

Both. Biologically it's a fruit, which is the ovary of a plant and includes the seeds, but it could also be called a vegetable, which can refer to any edible part of a plant.

It is a fruit because it has seeds.Anything in the fruit and vegetable category has seeds it is a fruit. Also fruits most of the times grow on vines and trees, etc. So tomatoes, cucumbers, and pumpkins are a fruit. Along with everything else that has seeds.

Technically it is a fruit because it has seeds and is grown on a vine and not in the ground, but personally, I still call it a vegetable;)

Who would honestly put a tomoatoe in a fruit salad? Exactly. But in a regular salad, its totally a necessity. Should be a veggie, but technically its a fruit.
