Is a Windsor trumpet a good one?

Question

Does anyone have any info about a windsor trumpet? Like how good they are compared to others and how much they're worth. Websites for the sources would be nice too.

I've heard of it before, a music store sold them as an economic model trumpet. But don't buy them, China doesn't make the best trumpets(any instrument actually). If you are looking for a cheap trumpet at a low cost, check ebay for a selmer bundy. they are a very good trumpet made in the USA and you can buy a good used one for under $100.

HI Jon,

Don't waste your time or money.  Windsor trumpets are not good.  That is not a well known name brand and if it is worth anything... it is not much.  I expect it is one of the thousands of imports that are pouring into the US from china and other 3rd world countries.   They can be sold really cheap because they ARE really cheap.  I would't recommend it nor would any band director,  trumpet musician or player.

If you are serious about finding a good trumpet that will last for years,  look for:

Yamaha

Bach

King

Conn

Getzen

Blessing

Those listed are trumpets that have been on the market for a long time.  I am sure you can find one used in very good condition if you check around.
