  1. idk man i was in the same situation as you. i went for the gixxer 750 and i have no regrets. but 1000 is way more power full. get a used 600 and play around with that for about 6 months so you get a feel for street bikes. the breaking and turning is completely different from a dirt bike. and then buy a nice 1K.

good luck, and buy a nice set of gear

  2. No, the R1 is not a good bike for you. But that's not the answer you wanted, so you'll just ignore all the warnings and get it anyway.

If you don't know why you shouldn't get an R1, then you DEFINITELY shouldn't get one.

  3. not at all.  As long as you know your limits..especially on a 1000.

The throttle will be totally different than the cbr 600rr, but since you have experience with dirtbikes I am sure you will be fine. Enjoy!!

  4. You need to learn how to fully utilize the power of a 600cc. This can take an entire lifetime. Starting on a monster like that is going to scare you from learning your limits, or putting you on your ***.

  5. you're extremely light... but i dunnno if you've been riding dirt bikes forever you might have what it takes.... i can't be sure tho.

  6. my girl is 130.... rofl :D
