  1. An "advanced" snowboard will typically be easier for a beginner than a cheap "beginner" board.  The exceptions are the higher end all mountain and "carving" boards that are very stiff.  These are best left until your skills are developed.  A good quality all all mountain or freestyle board is fine for a beginner.  I started with  a Hammer Private (close to the top of the line from a fine European manufacturer).  Another case in point: when I sold my Nitro Shadow to my cousin, his riding improved immediately as he transitioned from his beginner board.

  2. yes and no, it all depends on how you look at it.  I feel that getting a really nice board right away is a waste, it takes a while to build up to that skill level and the board takes a beating along the way.  I wouldnt want to spend alot of money on somthing that will just get beat up before I can use it to its full potential. the other thing is that they are set up and tuned for a specific riding style, if you dont fit that then you and the board dont match.  If you are some sort of prodegy then it may pay off to get one.  there are alot of diffrent kinds of boards out there, ride a beginner one for a year or two and when you figure out where you want to go with your riding then step up to the plate and go big.  good luck and have a great season.

  3. No /  b/c having a great deck will make it eaiser to learn on. And it feels good to have the madd nice steez gear

Yes/   when learning your probaly gonna bang up a new deck, especially in the park if your trying to learn how to jib.

If loot is no issue, get yourself a brand new NICE NICE setup. If your straped for cash and gonna have to rob someone to get up the money to get your deck, then NO.
