for example: would an ideal computer screen be around 20 in or could it be as big as a 35 in computer screen. i personally have a 35 lcd computer screen, but i find my eyesight to be losing.

does it mean having a bigger screen means you have to be further away, therefore your computer screen should always be screen to prevent eye from straining?

  1. We lose our eyesight by the way we use our eyes. Screens tend to encourage people to use their eyes incorrectly. Many people tend to lose their eyesight very quickly when they spend a lot of time in front of the computer or TV. Larger print tends to encourage people to diffuse. If a person is aware of incorrect vision habits to avoid and correct vision behaviors to maintain they won't have vision problems with these challenges.

  2. It's really the distance your screen is from you that will cause eyestrain more than the size.  Have your screen at least arm's length away.  Even a few inches further back would be good.  Also make sure your screen isn't too bright and that your surrounding lighting is about the same brightness.  Make sure there is no glare on the screen from lamps or windows.  Also make sure to take breaks and look away from the screen into the distance for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.  Keep your eyes lubricated with eye drops or making sure to blink.  If you are still having problems with your eyesight, see an optometrist.  It may be time for some glasses.
