Is a box spring better than a basic bed frame?

I'm either getting a box spring or a bed. I like the look of a bed rather than a box spring, but i heard box springs are more comfortable. Is there really a difference? And which one should i get (i can only get one)

A box spring is the what supports a mattress, and it's inner core is constructed of coils.

A memory foam mattress is best.

yes  A memory foam bed is so much better. I felt one and it was amazing.... I LOVE IT..but yes you should very much get the memory foam bed..^_^

Box spring refers to the construction of the mattress's inner coils; the springs reside in a box format to keep them from springing out of shape or position.  The frame is not called box spring in and of itself.  I like a platform bed; you only need a mattress for that, and you can actually buy a memory foam mattress and skip box spring style of mattress altogether.
