  1. As a minority it irks me when any of us think that someone will vote for another because of their race.  Is this why we have had a white male President for the last 200 years?  Whites have voted in record numbers for Reagan and Bush (43), now should we dumb them down and figure they voted for either President because of their skin color?  To your point, previous generations of White Voters would not vote for a black candidate because of his skin color, so I guess their is this belief of what goes around comes around?  I would like to believe that the motive for people to vote for Obama has to do with his fundraising abilities, skill in debates, President of the Harvard Law Review, most U.S. Presidents have graduated from Yale or Harvard, maybe his vision and promise as a person.  Maybe because at this point he has shown political courage and grace under fire.  You ask if all African Americans will vote for Obama, well no, some of them will vote for Hillary Clinton.

  2. No I don't think it's a good reason and yes the African American communities are voting for him in record numbers.

  3. no it is not.  if thats the onlu reason you vote for/against someone, you pretty much wasted your vote, but this is america and it is your right to do dumb things.

  4. Of course they're all voting for him "just because". It's never a good reason to vote under those circumstances!!

  5. No, race or gender is not a good reason. It is not a good reason to vote against them as well.  I think the majority of blacks will vote for Obama, just as many people will vote for the party of their parents. That is why those that research and ferret out the truth will play the deciding role in this election.

  6. It's probably one of the worst reasons to vote for someone. Not all African Americans will vote for BHO. But a bunch will.

  7. well, let me ask you the same question;  Should your race or ethnicity make a difference for you when applying or "running" for a job?

When you figure it out, let me know.

  8. no.... but i dont think they will vote for him because hes trying to take away god from our country... most black ppl are all about god, country fried chicken, and LOVE!  yeah true he'd be 1st black pres but hilary would be 1st female... were makin history double time and im sure the african american is proud enough someone made it this far... but h**l no nobody who turns their back on our pledge of alligiance is going to lead it! thats wrong!  Mccain was a POW and was allowed to leave but chose not to until they let everyone else out.  he CAN be trusted and is a man of his word... my vote goes to him

  9. sure it is a good reason, among other reasons as well.

I say that because of the controversy of ending this war at hand. Clinton wants to end it because of the lack of progress, and money. Obama wants to end it for reasons he surely will not speak, has something to do with killing his OWN people......we are at war with Muslim countries, why would you give the key to the USA to a Muslim at this time?

As far as the black voters, yes I think they will vote for Obama because he is black because of the oppression they have felt and had to deal with over the years. They want to have another African American accomplishment to mark in history, just as MLK day and so on, that is definitely the wrong reasons! The FACT that he is a black MUSLIM isn't even in their minds, just that he will be a BLACK president.

  10. It is the worst reason of all

  11. Absolutely not!  Race or ethnicity should have nothing to do with who you are voting for.  You should be voting based on an educated decision and on that candidate's platform.  A person's race or ethnicity or gender will not necessarily make him or her a better candidate than the next person--all it does is it makes them stand out more.

If you are going to vote solely based on superficial things, then I'd just as soon not see you vote.

  12. No, it should not have anything to do with how you vote. It should be on if they can do a good job for America and nothing else.
