No.  Expunged would remove all record of the case.  A dismissal only means that they are choosing not to proceed.  It will still appear in your court record.

No a case being dismissed means you are not being prosecuted where as a case being expunged means you have been convicted but the judge has erased the record.~

A case being dismissed is just saying that they will do nothing with it. It's closed, resolved, whatever.

An expungement is when all record of the suit, arrest, or charges is wiped completely from your record.

A dismissed charge, suit, etc will show.
