A caution in the UK is an interview with a senior officer, photo, prints etc, but no fine, or court appearance

  1. A caution?

Well a misdemeanor or a felony will likely cause you some problems. Any crime will likely delay the process by a few months, but if you were charged and found guilty, then there is a possibility that you will be denied migration. How long ago was it?

  2. I'm a Canadian so I'll give you the straight answer.

Canada  Immigration wants to see an official UK Police record search  letter form , that contains " no convictions".

A caution is NOT a conviction.

Further information....... Your financial records will be investigated, so clear up any past due debts, and  if you  have declared bankruptcy in the past, you will be liable to be denied .

    Good Luck.

Canada needs more new  people,  who are willing to work hard and make a great new life for them selves and their families, in my country.
