Question:

Is a ceramic ring scratch resistant?

I want to buy a ring for someone and was looking into black ceramic rings. I like titanium and tungsten but they are more expensive and last time I got a titanium ring the place ripped me off! It was only titanium plated and got all scratched up.. That's why I was wondering if ceramic rings are scratch resistant.

  1. I've never heard of a ceramic ring, but I would be afraid of breakage more so than scratching.

  2. that was my concern when i was looking at ceramic rings... i didn't really like the titanium either because they weren't a "true black", they had kind of a hematite (spelling??) color...

anyhow, this is my husbands wedding band, black tungsten, and VERY affordable. they ship super fast too; best part, not a scratch on it months and months later; and my honey works with his hands.

a word of advice, tungsten is so hard it cannot be resized; so make sure you get the right size. if you do go through the same place we did; they are great with exchanges, super fast (we got a size too big).

  3. I have a black ceramic ring and it doesn't have scratches on and I've had it for ages.
