Is a cheerleader consider a basic gymnast? ?

They have to learn to do they same things that a gymnast learns to do but the women that that are in the olympics are just more advanced. All in all they are the same jumps flips and turns. Right?

i believe so but cheerleaders cheer and gymnast compete

Yeah, it seems to be Basic Gymnast but im not sure.

they do similar stuff on floor to be considered a basic gymnast but cheerleaders cant do the things gymnasts do on the vault, beam and bars

Did you know that cheer leading is the most dangerous sport for female athletes? They do all these gymnastic stunts and probably aren't good enough athletes for what they attempt. Just read that on Yahoo news.
