Is a citrus hit real?

I was told that you can place an orange peel into water and let it sit for a few days. Then you take a drop of it and it would make you trip. Has anyone ever heard this before? Im pretty sure it would not work, but maybe the fungus could cause a deadly trip. Mushrooms are fungi and alot can make you trip, even the bad ones can make you trip. Healthy or not i'm just curious if this is possible, and i have no intentions on doing it if it is.

Doesn't work. No psilocybin-containing or toxic deliriant fungi can grow in that environment. The silly logic behind it is exactly what you thought it was, the most you'd get is the taste of bad oranges. :)
