Is a co-ed school better or a single s*x school???

Question

i want to change schools and i only have 3 choices 2 of which are single s*x and only one is co-ed! i just want to know which one is better? and also i want to know the advantages and disadvantages for both!

advantages for single-no distractions with the whole "omg hes soooo hot i want to go out with him sooooo badly" kinda thing (im assuming ur a girl, if ur not then o well, u get what im saying). u would probably focus a lot more on school

disadvantages- no "omg hes soooo hot i want to go out with him soooo badly" kinda guys. all u have to focus on is school

They say (researchers, that is) that girls do better in single-s*x schools, but boys do better in co-ed ones.  Girls feel freer to explore career options, to express themselves in math and science, than in co-ed schools where they can be intimidated or distracted by the mere presence of boys.

Schools can provide social experience as well as academic experience. To go to a single s*x school, you will not have as much social life with the opposite s*x. Of course, a single s*x school would allow you to not get into positions that you might in a co-ed school.

Most research indicates that both genders do better academically in single-gender schools.  There is a body of research that seems to be implying that young men do better socially in coed schools.  Since schools actually serve both functions, we have to say that the research overall is still inconclusive.
