Question:

Is a coontail appropriate for this?

I have very dark hair and I want a white-blonde coon tail. I would put it on the underneath side of my hair, so its not too obnoxious, but you can still see it, and it would be very visible when I would put my hair in a ponytail.

BUT

I'm an aspiring actress, and I don't know if i would be taken seriously with a coon tail, or if someone would turn me away for a part just because of my hair. (I'm 16, so it is still age appropriate)

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  1. It depends on what kind of actor/actress the director is looking for. If they want somebody with an edgier, died-hair look, then sure, they'd hire you. If they want somebody with a softer, daddy's girl look, then I'm not too sure if you'd fit the role. With or without the coon tail, you're going to get denied by plenty of casting directors either way (it's a fact of acting). Be yourself, and a casting director will hire you if you suit the role they're looking for; you won't be perfect for ever character.

I'd suggest clip in coon tails. You can get different kinds of extensions with different colors. You can clip them in and out whenever you want, and you will never have to worry about hindering your chances for a role.
