  1. no, the best place is a interior of a home like a bathroom with no windows but many people have crawled into there bathtubs and survived being thrown in the air. the most important thing is to get to a interior room with no windows and if you can cover yourself with a blanket or somthing to dodge from debris


  2. No - In a crawlspace, a direct hit from the tornado would most likely crush you with the debris from the house (though, it would be better than nothing, if you were caught outside).

    The best place to be in the event of a tornado is in a basement under a very sturdy piece of furniture, or in the center of a house/building, with as many walls between  you and the outside as possible. Interior bathrooms are the best, as the plumbing reinforces the walls.
