  1. My first 3 music players were Creative models, and I currently have an iPod. The creative were very reliable, never froze like iPod nano's tend to do. I always stuck up for them and loved them.

But I must say iTunes is so much easier to use than the software you get with Creative. Despite what some people have said, iTunes is free to download, and you don't have to purchase the music, you can import any that is already on your computer or on your cd's.

They both have individual pros and cons. I suggest the creative model if you can handle software that seems like it's from the dark ages, they are better at service/repair if you need it too.

  2. I have a creative zen and love it to bits! I link it to the windows media player and easily load on all my albums and music tracks. I think with the ipod you then have to purchase your music in a different format, its not compatible with the windows music player and you have to get i-tunes.

  3. A Zen is an mP3 (or mP4 depending on how new the model is) player. Ipods are the brand name. They aren't any better or worse than mP3 players, depending on what you get the functions are the same. I own a Zen, the model I have doesn't play video but has everything else and then some as far as small extras compared to Ipods. Look at both, hold them if you can, feel around the dials, and decide which you like more. The downside to Ipods for me is Itunes, you have to pay to use Itunes and Ipods require having it installed so that bit it for me. I love my Zen, it's been reliable and does what I need it to do.

  4. The Creative Zen is better than a nano-sound quality, screen etc.  The X-fi is just a Zen with wi-fi and sound enhancements.

  5. wellmy sis in law has had both, she said the sound was slightly sharper on her ipod but she prefered her zen one as it was more reliable, it seems a lot of people have trouble with their ipods breaking down she had to send hers back to shop four times, so i would prob go with the zen one

  6. i've seen a lot of different mp3 players because a lot of people have bought them and got me to put music on them. i personally prefer the ipod. its the easiest to put music on and easiest to use. my bf has a zune and it's not that great. the next to best after ipod is phillips go gear. i know someone who bought a zen and it broke shortly after he bought it

  7. the Zen are cheaper than the apple Ipod but they are more involved in adding tracks as the interface isn't as slick and easy and fast as the iPod/Itunes arrangement.

Zen uses its own  organiser loader software but it seems Like DOS compared to itunes.

Chose what you prefer but personally I'd go iPod as its better built and easier to use - but one word of not its expected Apple will bring out a revised nano  at the end of september so wait til then before buying if you can and apparently its getting a bigger screen and more memory for same or less money.
