Is a crf faster that a cr85?

The crf 150Rcc is faster  if it has had head work and a fast compression piston.  Out of the box it would be equivalent to a fast 85.  Last year my son raced both  and ended up sticking with the crf 150R as honda wanted him on one.  It was the better bike anyway so he was happy.

It also depends upon where you are from if they can race against each other as in Australia they put the 150 in the same class as the 85cc.  Most people don't agree with this but that is how it is.

off the mark a cr85 would sh*t over a crf but the crf would sh*t over a cr85 on a long straight..

I'm not too sure about this actually since the cr85 can have a crazy powerband but if I was too choose either one, then I'd definitely go with the CRF 150 if thats the kind of CRF you are asking about

I'm sure he means the 150R since that is the only CRF in direct competition with the 85's. I think the fact that the AMA only allows the 150 in the 85 modified class, and not the 85 stock class (unless there have been rule changes I'm not aware of) answers your question.

are you asking about the cf150r or the trail line of crf's?

if you are asking about the cr line or race model, yes it is faster, but if you are asking about the trail line, then no....

dont forget that there are 2 very different CRF150s

the CRF150F whick is more of a woods /play bike

and the CRF150R which is not legal to race in the 85 class because it is faster
