Is a custom made mouthpiece supposed to taste chalky and bitter?

I got one made because i have braces, and the final product fits well, but it tastes chalky and smells minty..

tastes very similar to the filladent they used to get the imprint of my teeth. I was just wondering if the chalky bitter taste and smell is toxic or something.

look at the "Shock Doctor" ones. Those are the ones for braces.

To answer ur question im not sure. What I would do is jus wash it for a bit until u cant taste any filladent. I just wanted to put that link out there just in case for you and for anyone else looking at this question for help.

I really don't know, it could be because its know. If it still tastes like that after you use it for a while you should return it and get a refund.
