Is a daily multivitamin / multimineral tabelet...?

Is that good for your health or actually bad for it? Because im pretty sure i dont get all the vitamins / minerals i need so i was wondering if i should start taking daily Centrum multivitamin / multimneral tablets?

  1. As stated before, you "should" get everything you need from a varied diet, but they are good to take just in case, especially if you have a workout program or don't eat quite right. All FDA approved vitamins (those not sold as "natural supplements") are confirmed by examination of vitamins excreted and generic are usually just as good as name brand.


  2. If you are young, healthy, not pregnant, and have a varied diet, then you are probably getting everything you need.

    Vitamin A in supplements can actually do more harm than good. So, at any rate past middle age, can excess iron.

    You can probably get a less expensive brand from a major supermarket. Aim for one appropriate to your age and gender. Check the ingredients.
