We plan on going in the 2nd week in august (i know it will be packed), arriving early afternoon on sunday, staying all day at disneyland on monday, and california adventure on tuesday. i plan on sunday to watch the parade and knock out critter country & new orleans square, maybe ride the railroad and get a feel for the park. the following day i figured we would knock out fantasyland first, then get on the submarines as it does not have fastpass. toontown next, we will probably need a nap after all this, then head back for tomorrowland, fronteirland and adventureland. i am figuring if there is anything left over we could do it the following day since i know we wont stay all day at california adventures. does this seem feasabile???

  1. A day and a half is plenty of time if you get there early...which you say you are.You wont be a California Adventure long....I went early and was done by 6. Went on alll the rides!

    have fun!

  2. This is for sure an excellent trip for young children and even adults themselves, this will be a trip you and your kids will not forget. Unfortunately, one day and a half is not enough since going with children (tend to be slower) and nap times too, i say extend the trip to 1 more day, and that should be a perfect disney trip, Have fun!

  3. I think you could do it.  Check with everyone in your family to see what they want to do the most.  They can look on line or you can order the dvd at Disney.go.com.  Then plan carefully, putting their favorites first.  Save the least favorites for last, even if it means some extra walking.  That way, if you miss anything they won't be disappointed.  Also, skip sit down meals and just eat fast food.  It saves a lot of time.   If you are from a really hot state, it won't feel all that hot to you, especially in the shade. Just in case, bring squirt bottles or fans to help with the heat. Put water and snacks in a backpack.  You'll be glad you did!  Have a wonderful time!

  4. when i went to disneyland we spent a week there and the 2nd week doing everythink else but we still missed some things out but i was 12 then and no matter what your kids will love this trip and they will neva 4get it so dnt worry about fitting everythink in just enjoy the time you've got there

  5. Totally not enough time. August is going to be soo sooo soooo busy!

On top of that...that's just not enough time. You could leave an entire day just for fantasy land.

Maybe you should try to plan somemore vacation.

  6. Of course, just make sure to pass through downtown disney, even though it's small.

  7. I spent 3 days there and that was a good amount - 2 at Disney and 1 at California Adventure, but then we went with a group with older kids, which meant the "bigger" rides (more popular) so the lines were a bit longer.

Toddler, not sure about that - the ones I saw were pretty worn out by the end of the day.  But if you stick to the "kiddie" type rides, perhaps a day and a half would be long enough.

Whatever you do, make sure to take advantage of the fast pass system to make it go a bit quicker.

  8. Well, that's not a lot of time, since it's august and busy busy busy.  Long waits in lines in the hot sun.  I think your plan sounds ok hypothetically, but it's a big place and takes time to walk from ride to ride, wait in line, go on the ride...

Still, I guess you do what you can.
