Question:

Is a declarative statement too bold?

As an undergrad biology student, I find it too bold and too presumptive to claim that I KNOW God is merely an invention of the mind. So, my question is, to anyone who feels like answering:

Is saying that "God is real," or "God is fake," just an example of how willfully ignorant you are?

(as a guess, because I like to do so, I'll say a lot of scientific minded people will admit some uncertainty, some rational theists will do the same. But I'll get 1-3 of the extremes. Lets see if I'm right!?)

  1. Any claim to be able to "prove" God's existence or non-existence is too bold. It works both ways. From a standpoint of the scientific method, there is no way to prove either side. From a logical standpoint, you can't prove a negative, and there is no airtight argument for God's existence.

Simply, there is evidence to both sides, and people will choose as they want. But, neither side can make an "I KNOW" statement.

  2. Well, you can "not know" all you like.

But I KNOW God is fake!

I know because I'm Atheist! xD  I explain why I know this 100% undeniable FACT on my profile!

    Take that!

  3. Nice try but I have seen your other answers god boy.

  4. That's what faith is about, it's about KNOWING something to be true, even though you can't prove it to another person.

You can't as for forgiveness from a God you THINK exists, only from God you KNOW exists.

  5. Since God's existence is not directly measurable, I often consider it a tad presumptuous to say with 100% certainty that God does or does not exist.  I usually qualify my statements with something like "based on the available evidence I have observed, I am persuaded to believe that God does not exist."

  6. I know that God ir real. and to be honest I think that so called unbelievers do too ...why else would they act the way that do about something that they "supposedly" care nothing about.
