I am new to golf. Just started about 6 months ago and love it. I was playing today and about half the way trough our round a buddy asked me how I dented my driver. I had no idea, but its about the size of a quarter on the side of the club head.

Is this a big issue? Will it cause problems hitting the ball? Does it have to be replaced?

  1. If the dent is not on the striking surface of the club( the club face proper) you have no problem with the continuing use of the club. You will get a lot of dents during your playing career. some which can be repaired and some which render a club useless.

  2. Club have all sorts of wear and tear. But if the dent is on the club face then it could cause issues. Make sure the dent does not become a crack, because a crack on the club head could cause the club to have defective performance.

  3. As long as it is not on the club face your probably ok.
