  1. Electric showers require heavy cable on a dedicated circuit back to the meter box, they consume a vast amount of electricity  8 to 10 thousand watts, but are economical in that they are only on for 7 minutes.

    Electric showers operate directly off the mains supply, so when someone fills a kettle or operates a garden hose there will be a reduction to the supply, and the safety function in the shower will shut-off, leaving you standing like a "lemon"

    A power shower requires a source of stored water, but is more satisfactory , as it does not get cold when the flow is increased as in an electric one., it only requires a normal electric supply to operate the pump.

    My preference would be a power shower.


  2. Electric shower is economic as there is no stored hot water which can cool off between uses. You use power only for the time you are under the shower. You should always keep the shower on as little as possible.
