  1. The green is the surface immediately surrounding the hole. The fairway is the area between the "teeing ground" and the green. Length of grass has little to do with it. Some courses' fairways have grass that's shorter than others' greens.

The distinctions are made because the rules are slightly different depending upon which part of the course you're on. For example, "through the green" (from the teeing ground to the green), you can touch your ball only for identification purposes. On the green, however, you can mark your ball and pick it up ... and so on.

  2. A fairway has really short grass, and a green has shorter grass - and a harder surface, kind of like a table top, for putting.

  3. All I can say is wow. The other people can answer that for u.

  4. The green is the part of the course that the hole is in. It generally has really well manicured short grass. The fairway has slightly longer grass, and leads from the tee to the green.

  5. no way. a green is a lot lower to the ground and is perfect for putting, and you cant use any other club but a putter.

a fair way is in the middle of the course right from where the tee is to where the green is and you can use any club you want. it also is not as low to the ground as a green is

  6. uhh. no. i think you definetly need to sign up for a lesson with one of the cute golf pros. they're always fun and they think its cute when they have to teach you everything..
