  1. I'd say it is healthier, unless you live next to a busy street. It certainly is much healthier for your energy bill. Maybe if you have an allergy like hay fever then you might want to use aircon with a hepa filter. Keeping fresh air circulating is something that air conditioning isn't good at.

  2. The answer depends on several things. Is the air quality in your area good? Do you have asthma or allergies? Is it really humid outside? Do you live in a dusty area? The use of  A/C that has a good filter will 'clean' the air of pollutants, dust and allergens as well as dehumidify the outside air. On cool nights, we turn the A/C off and open the windows and use ceiling fans. We turn the A/C back on in the late morning to 'beat the heat' of the late day. It helps to keep the electric bill down this way.

  3. Air conditioning gives you a filtered and clean air. Open your windos and have a fan blowing dust around and you may need a new computer at the end of the season. It is amazing how much dust is gathering inside the computer without having a fan on. Mine is getting noisier all the time and I have to clear dust from the fans inside my computer regularly.
