  5. YES and NO...  Sorry to twist this around

    A fax that is sent but not received or printed out is NOT a hard copy.  While its in the fax machines memory its technically considered a soft copy of the fax.  

    Once the fax machine "spits" it out THEN it becomes a hard copy.
