  1. as long as the firemouth won't fit in the oscars mouth you shouldn't really  have any probs

  2. no a firemouth will not get as big as a tiger Oscar and a firemouth is not as aggressive as an Oscar they will be OK for a few months then one day the firemouth will be lunch

  3. Depends on their size.  If small you can try, but watch them.  It would be better to put more than just 2 cichlids in the tank so that don't just have each other to pick on.

  4. They might or they might not. If you choose to put them in the same tank make sure they have plenty of room so they don't run into eachother too much but keep a very close eye on them and look for any signs of injury or hostile behavior.

Heres a chart that shows the compatibility for a wide range of fish.

  5. The Oscar will out grow the Firemouth, then what?

  6. Firemouth cichlid will be compatible with tiger oscar if they grew up together. If you place them as strangers, firemouth cichlid will most likely to kill oscar. Oscar is not an aggressive cichlid, its semi-aggressive which means it only eat things that fit into its mouth, it does not bother other fishes that are not as small as feeder fishes.
