yes. takes longer to accelerate, no worry about mixing gas, powerband, etc...

4 strokes are not easier to work on, whoever said that is wrong, however, they are definatlely good to learn on for beginners

I would say so yes.

There are more and more 4 strokes coming on to the market each year.

They are easier to work on aswell. The power is still a kick in the butt but not a hard.
