It's not good luck any more than crossing your fingers, knocking on wood, sneezing three times before breakfast, meeting three sheep, finding a 4-leaf clover, spilling wine during a toast, cutting your hair during a storm, hearing crickets, finding white heather, sleeping facing south, a robin flying into your house, throwing salt over your shoulder, putting a horseshoe over your door, putting a hex sign on your barn, breaking clear, uncolored glass, an itch on the top of your head, finding a piece of coal, sleeping on un-ironed sheets, walking in the rain, a ladybug landing on you, picking up a pencil in the street, having your clothes get snagged in a bush, or finding a heads-up penny and picking it up.

These are all ignorant superstitions driven by expectation, undisciplined evaluation, and bias confirmation.

I don't think that luckiness has anything to do with a FullMoon or a NewMoon. It's just a Moon's day changing, like on Earth, a day is changing.
