Just because you've been reading all those newspaper articles claiming they're getting easier... have you never considered that maybe in fact teachers are getting more and more accustomed to the requirements of the courses and therefore they are getting better at coaching the students on how to do well.

Also the pressure put on teenagers nowadays to do well in school and stay on to further education has increased over these past few years, meaning more students are trying harder to get 5 a*-cs or suchlike.

It's unfair that many students spend so long studying hard for these exams, to just be told they are easy and a buffoon could pass them.
