  1. Italy is very difficult to get used to. I am Canadian, living here now for 17 years.  We decided to stay to raise our children here, because the culture and history is second to no one. My kids can play outside with out my supervision, and I am not afraid....compared to Canada or the USA its better, Work wise...If I was there I would be making at least 5X what I make here.  Things that other countries take for granted, here are very expensive, and it is now very difficult just to get to the end of the month for the basics.  Simple things in life.....ie a cloths dryer, air conditioner in the home...I have those, but am one of the very few.  Electricity is very expensive, as if propane for cooking, water also....don't even think about the price of gasoline....1.52 euro a liter....compared to the australian dollar..try to figure it out.  I am hoping with the government changing, the economy will pick up.  Italy is beautiful, full of culture, and still today after 17 years I still see something new every day..scenery, food, wine etc.  I don't want to discourage you, but it isn't a easy life right now for anyone.  Weigh the pro's and the cons.  Come for 3 months, them decide for sure....its a long way to come to end up unhappy.

  2. Hi,

I think it's a good idea.. in italy there are a lot of great works..

I think you should go..italian's economy is very good!

    I hope you wil go..

    bye

  3. have you ever ask yourself why many italians go to Australia, and none of Australia go to Italy? :)

try to find some temporary job here, live here for a while, and look how it is.

    do you speak italian?

if i was austrialian i wouldn't ever go away, anyway, i don't know which kind of stuff has smoked Kiaretta, but... economy isn't good here, and you gotta look around for find a job, and the salary  aren't good.

do you have an idea about where would u go?

anyway... try for a while and then you decide... no?

  4. If you're interested, go for it. However a fluency in Italian is a must and the wages over there aren't very good. Simply put, if you go to Italy to live and work in permanently you'll only have enough money to buy necessities. Their economy is less than enviable.
