If the mobile home is properly anchored to a enforced concrete or metal enforced foundation, there should be no problem in having a grand piano placed within a mobile home.  Nevertheless, if the overall weight of the grand piano is still a major concern, perhaps look around for a lighter weight piano such as a used 6-foot grand Rippen piano [from Holland] which is made out of aluminum.  Submit a search query at Google.com on "Rippen Grand" for more details.  Here's a link to an already "sold" Rippen for viewing:

  2. I had a double wide mobile home.  The beams underneath were steel, not wooden ones like they use for a house with a basement.  Mine would definitely support a grand.  Most mobile homes are built on steel beams.  One way to find out is to look underneath.
