  1. Actually a GIR is two shots under par.  They always allow for two putts to make a par.


  2. I would count it as a GIR.

  3. I would say so, since on a par 3 the first shot is considered the green in reg shot.

  4. Yes, a green-in-regulation is when you get on the green in one stroke under par.  If you made a hole-in-one you got on the green in two strokes under par.

  5. Yes, as long as it's on the green (or in the hole) in 2 strokes under the par for the hole or better it is a GIR.
