I want to make an office room at home that would be used for taking calls from a call center. I would have a desk, chair, computer, shredder, and printer. Is a room that would be 6 by 9 too small? It has 2 large windows so it would not feel closed in.

  1. i think according to the furniture and other accessories ....6 by 9 foot will be enough!!!!best of luck

  2.   It s big enough but it s a personal thing..One thing to remember the size of the home work space is tax deductible.. So if you d like it and can do the space it s a bit better tax wise.. GL

  3. Six by nine feet will work quite well for you as long as you don't need a lot of space for file cabinets or book shelves.  And as long as you don't see any need to expand later.

  4. An average cubicle is 6x6, so you're already ahead of the game.

Consider wall mounted work surfaces. These stick out from the wall and keep the room open because you don't have legs or the under part of a desk taking up space, lots of legroom. Avoid the all in one computer stations, they tend to make even large rooms feel cramped, because everything is in a pile.

A few hanging shelves above the desk will help maximize the vertical space, without eating up the floor space
