Is a idler position sensor diffcult to put in, or exspensive to have installed ?

It all depends on what kind of car you have. I have a Honda civic and it was rather easy. But if you aren't good with cars it's best you have a mechanic put it in for you. It shouldn't be too expensive just get some quotes. If you would rather attempt it yourself buy a Hanes manual for your car. you can find it at any auto shop. they have diagrams and tell you basic installations.

No.  It's not really that difficult.  On my chevy, it's under the dash connected to the steering columm.  I had to lay on my back for awhile but, it was pretty easy and not expensive.
