they are the best in the mud.

the hwy ride is poor, the handling is vague and they are easily rolled.

look for a small toyota or Nissan

If you use it as a daily driver to get to school and back and then run it through mud puddles and the woods on the weekends I would say yes, heh. Thats what we did with my buddies wrangler when we were in school. They put up with a lot of abuse, but he did a good job of maintaining it as well. Dont buy a 4 cyl one though if thats what you are looking at, they are very underpowered.
