A jet engine can take 400 people from New York to Los Angeles with less pollution than 400 cars with 1 person each.

where do you get the idea that oil supplies are going to run out in ten years? especially since the known reserves will carry us for another 100-150 years at current rates of increase in consumption. stop listening to the likes of al gore, and do some of your own investigation. there are technologies that are being used today to reduce emissions output, including alternative fuels. but if you somehow think that piston powered airliners ar the way to go, by all means set up an airline and see what kind of response you get in ticket sales.

Jet engines run cleaner and produce less pollution than automobile, truck, and bus engines.  And mass transportation by jet aircraft is much more efficient in terms of waste per person or per ton of stuff moved than personal automobiles and coast-to-coast trucks.

Oil doesn't run out in 10 years.  What do you mean by a hydro engine?  Or have you invented one that runs on water alone?  I'd hate to be a stoker on a 747 . . .
