No. My aunt was a journalist for 8+ years, and shes fine, so are her friends. It becomes a little hectic when raising kids though. That's one of the primary reasons why she switched.

Well, what if this what if that. Skip the what ifs. Any career can become hectic, that's all relative to how YOU manage the balance between work and social/home life.

Nope. But I will say this -- the divorce rate can be a little high for the profession. The hours are odd and sometimes long, and that can cause strains. The traveling guys miss a ton of birthdays and anniversaries.
