Question:

Is a kitchen tea really important? ?

We don't really want a kitchen tea. We are having our hens and bucks parties and we really just don't feel that a kitchen tea is necessary. What we really want is to host a thank you dinner instead, for the bridal party and our parents in the last week before the wedding. Is this the wrong thing to do? Will people be expecting a kitchen tea?

I'm really torn here because I have so many people telling different things.

Thanks

  1. I actually like the dinner idea better. While a kitchen tea might be perceived as the tradition, the dinner would be more sensible and more fun I think for everyone :) If they were expecting a kitchen tea and are dissapointed you didn't have one they should just get over it -- I mean, this is your big day! Do it your way! Especially if you don't even want it-- it's all your decision and what you want to do. :) Congratulations on your big day!
