  1. no typically a kitten is weened from the mom anywhere from 6-8 weeks so ten weeks old is a great age!!

  2. any cat or dog  can leave  their mom  after 6 weeks  some  can  eat  at  5  weeks  but  i  would  let  the  baby  stay  with  mom  till then

  3. nah not too old

  4. Not ''too old''. Between 8-12 weeks old is the RESPONSIBLE age to give them away. Just because they're weaned at 6 weeks old, doesn't mean they should be given away at that age. They learn a lot of valuable information from their mom & litter mates in those extra weeks (proper way to play/wrestle, how to use the litter box, etc.)

  5. No way man! Tottaly fine, he'll still ajust. Does the person know that you are getting him a kitten? We don't need any more unwanted kitties in this world....

  6. Definitely not too old.  In fact, most kittens are better off staying with their mothers until 12 weeks because they are still being socialized and learning from their mothers.  They still need to nurse for emotional oral reasons even though they are able to eat solid food.  A kitten taken too young can later develop weird oral habits like chewing and sucking on things.

  7. No, a 10 week old kitten is the perfect age!

  8. Ten weeks is good they will be more exposed to humans and will be able to adapted to your / who you are giving to house better!

  9. no

  10. aww, thats sweet. lol

no, a kitty any age is fine, just as long as it has been weaned properly.

lol, it was born on my best mates birthday :D

  11. No kitten should leave its mother until it is AT LEAST 8 weeks old and 10-12 is ideal as by then it will have learnt acceptable bevhaviour from its mother and siblings.  If it is a pedigree kitten then most breeders will not let them go until 12-16 weeks.

  12. Sounds like the perfect age to me the most playful times

  13. I recently adopted a 10-week & a 8-week old kitten from the local pet shop. They are both dolls, precious and so adorable. Why are you spending a "pretty price" for a cat if you have doubts about it? And I paid $10 for both of my cats. But that's your business ...

Basically, 10 weeks is NOT too old ...

  14. i dont think so.  we have some 10 week old kittens and theyre just as cute and playful as they were when they were younger.  just tie a bow around its neck and give it to them.  im sure theyll appreciate the thought.

  15. No way! They are still so "kitten-like" at this age! At six weeks, a kitten is ready to be weaned from it's mother and extra time spent with her will hopefully make it stronger and healthier! 10 weeks, the kitten is probably somewhat larger, but what's four weeks? May I ask why you are paying so much? Kittens these days are pretty much given away for free because they duplicate so fast! Is it spayed or neutered and up to date on all shots? That sometimes ups the price, but even the humane society does that for free.
