Is a light pink room just too much?

Question

okay, i have mid-century modern bedroom furniture (in an oak finish), and a creamy orange quilt with ivory as my accent color. here is what i'm using for curtains:

would light pink/creamy pink walls be too daring? not baby or bubblegum pink, but like a buttermilk with a hint of pink. i want the bedroom to feel romantic and warm.

Hey, it's your bedroom.  Paint it whatever color you like.  Don't worry about what anybody else thinks.  For what it's worth, I think what you have in mind will look good.

I would use ivory on the walls;

and the pink, orange, and some bronze or copper for accessories:

throw pillows

lamps/shades

ornaments

vase/planter/flower pot

candles/candle holders

etc.

I was going to say that I wouldn't paint it pink...until I clicked the link.  I think that with that fabric for curtains a creamy pink would look really good.  And...paint isn't permanent so you could always redo it if you hate it.  I would do it!

Who cares. Go for it, if you don't like it you can change it later. My kids painted their rooms neon green and blank. They like it so who cares what others think. When they move out I'll just repaint :)

How about just a light tint of orange. That may work even better with your furnishings, and its a bit warmer so it would work nicely with the oak.

why not follow the flow of the picture meaning just use it as an accent color instead of allover
