  1. Depends on the Specs of each. Both the Macbook and the Macbook Pro have different specifications within them. The gap between the best MacBook and the worst MacBook Pro is minimal from my last look (A while ago) but if you are truly into things Macs are better suited for (Graphic/Video/Audio editing) the best Macbook Pro is much better for those activities. If not just get a normal one.


  2. No unless you can't live with a 13" screen.  Buy a Macbook with a Super Drive so you can burn DVD's and then upgrade the RAM to 2GB, 1GB is kind of slow.  MacBook Pro's are just overpriced.
