Is a mosh pit an art form of self expression or just pure violence?

I think its cool, but people are trying to convince me that its just a bunch of cavemen in a bowl of mindless wonder beating each other to a pulp. I dont see it this way. Can someone give me a good comeback!!!! Thanks!!!

Sounds to me like the people you've been talking to are pu$$ies!

I would have to say that moshing is a bit of violence and self expression. It's a great way to get out aggression, and push people around without going to jail.

EDIT: sounds to me like Funk Doc had some very bad experiences in a mosh pit lol. I don't participate in them, but I have friends who do and love it. When I go to a concert, I am there for the band only. But whatever you do is fine, it's your choice. Doesn't matter what people like funk doc has to say.

well when girls at an idk dixie chix concert dance around and scream do you call it self expression or violence? when ppl slow dance to their own music do you see it as self expression or violence? Moshing is how ppl have fun and yes, express themselves at concerts. If you don't like it you know what they say, if you can't handle the heat get outta the kitchen. So if possibly having the best time of your life and maybe gettin a little banged up bugs you don't buy standing room tickets. I mean I don't personally mosh cuz I'm little enuff to get killed pretty much, but hey if ppl wanna mosh and mess around at a concert its their own business and if you don't like it you should prolly get out of the pit before u get dragged into it.

Seriously, who goes around just pushing and punching for no reason?  Most of the people in the pit are complete b*****s anyways.

everytime I see people moshing, I think of dirty, no shower, scum bag white trash.  I'm sure many think the same exact thing.  

Personally, if anyone in or near a mosh pit touched me, I'd lay the ****** out in front of everyone, and ruin the entire show.  

I go to concerts with my gf, the last thing I want is some bunch of ***** *** scum bags pushing and punching because they think its "cool"

It's a free for all Jerry Springer.  If you don't see anything wrong with it, I hope u are the one getting knocked out and pissed on next time.  Look in the mirror, if you see white trash, it's probably because you are.
