  1. If it has a VISA logo on it (usually bottom right hand corney) then it can be ran as a VISA.  The differance between a credit charge and a debit charge is how the funds come out.  If you enter a PIN then usually come out fairly quick where if it is ran as a credit then it will take a day or 2, sometimes up 2 a week (depends on when merchant will run their credit transactions.

If you use your debit card as a credit, the funds will come out of your checking account balance.

Just make sure to ask your specific finacial instition if it is ok to run it as a credit transaction, they may have their reasons to not allow you to do such a thing.

  2. No, it is not a credit card.  Credit cards use a line of credit (loan). Debit cards take funds from your bank account.

The bank person was referring to processing.   If you use it as a debit, you have to use your PIN number.  If you use it as a credit card, you sign a slip instead of using your PIN.  In either case, the money still comes directly out of your bank account.  It's just two different ways to process the transaction.

  3. no

  4. If it called a debit card then It is not a credit card. Credit/Credit Card means you can use in the front funds from

Financial Institutions/banks and pay them at the later time by the term agreement.

    Good Luck!
