Is a paralegal certification from 'The center for legal studies' worth it ?

  1. Is it an ABA-approved course? If not, I would NOT go for it.

    If it is entirely online, which would mean it is not approved by the ABA, don't bother with it.

    I am entering a paralegal program this September. It is ABA-approved, which is why I chose this school. That is what the employers want. Above all, they want experience, which can be tough to get. You really need a good, approved school. There are so many near me, but most are not approved. Due to the fact that mine has the internship, I felt it was the best one for me, esp. when every ad I see for a paralegal wants at least a year or 2 of experience.

  2. I have never heard of the Center for Legal Studies...like the first poster said, if it is not ABA approved then the answer is NO.  

    The only paralegal education worth the time and money is at least a 2-year degree from an ABA approved school.  But be warned, you will still need some law office experience to land a paralegal job.  I suggest starting off as a legal secretary while you are going to school.
