Is a partial or a full transit in Panama Canal a good tour?

I will go to Panama next week and am thinking about what types of tours I should take. Is that Panama Canal transit a good tour? Any other recommendations for Panama city? Note I am not a beach person; cannot swim.

Yes it is very interesting, but take your sunscreen with you.  You can go to the Canal Museum, in Casco Viejo, to Panama Viejo (they have a nice museum there, too), you can go shopping to Albrook Mall, visit El Valle... There are plenty things to do.
