  1. What country are you a citizen of?  American citizens may travel to Canada by land without a passport until June 1, 2009.  All other people must have a passport.  After June 1, 2009, evenAmericanss will need a passport for all forms of travel to Canada.

  2. When I visit Canada as a German then yes I need a Passport.And by the way Canada is beautiful I love the people and the nature there.

  3. Well, you're not saying where you're from, but assuming you're from the U.S. the following applies:

    1.  If you're flying from anywhere in the States to any city in Canada, then, yes, you do require a passport;

    2.  If you are making a LAND crossing into Canada (i.e. driving) the following documentation is required:

    (a) valid government issued photo ID, such as your driver's licence, and

    (b) your original birth certificate.

    Not one or the other, but both.

    At present, these are the requirements although effective June, 2009, a passport will be required for any method of entry into Canada.

    I believe if you are from a country other that the U.S., you will presently require a passport.
