Is a permit to drive considered a government issued ID?

it has a picture of me, but i'm not too sure. i need a government issued ID for a concert tomorrow and i lost my license.

  1. Yes, if it was issued by the DMV, it's a government issued ID.....


  2. Yes.

    Your permit is probably expired if you have had time to loose your license.  An "expired" ID is probably not an ID.  (I couldn't get on a plane once with an expired dirver's license -- till I showed them my un-expired library card.  Honest.  No-Fooling)  

    Whoever is asking for the ID will have final say.  Make sure they see at least a $20 with the ID.
