Question:

Is a person a part of or separate from their environment? and why? i've been struggling for hours!*references*

ive been stuggling on this for days. If you can, please post some KEY ideas of why they may or may not be(point form would be great), and give me some insight.

  1. To me, we are not only part of our environment, we are the environment.  In fact, we are the universe.

    When we look at the basic particles which make up every entity in the universe, we realize that, at the most elementary level, all matter is made up of the same material.

    So, at this elementary level, we are no different from any other entity, be it a star or a chair, nor do we have any distinguishing characteristics that would tend to discriminate us from any other entity in the universe.

    So, at that elemental level, we are the universe, in both a metaphorical and scientific sense.

    I suggest that you use this argument as a counterpoint to the one which you espouse.
